Bands on the Beach returns to the Emerald Coast this month with free outdoor concerts every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach.

Hosted by the Santa Rosa Island Authority, Bands on the Beach features some of the Gulf Coast’s most talented musicians. The series runs every Tuesday through October, rain or shine.

The musical styles include classic rock, country, reggae, blues and pop. Past crowd favorites have included Beatles tribute band Not Quite Fab, Modern Eldorados and The Astronauts. Whether you’re dancing barefoot in the sand or kicking back in a beach chair, the vibe is always festive and family-friendly.

“This concert series is a Pensacola Beach tradition,” says Robbie Schrock, the director of administration for the Santa Rosa Island Authority. “It brings the community together in such a special way — through music, nature and the joy of sharing a great night out.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring beach blankets, lawn chairs and coolers. Food and drinks are welcome, but glass containers and pets are prohibited. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scheduled for April:

  • April 15 — Disco Kiss lights up the stage with glittering grooves and high-energy dance tracks.

  • April 22 — Whitesands Panhandle Band, a local favorite, brings a mix of Southern rock and country flair.
