Renaissance Festival comes to Perfect Plain Brewing

The Renaissance Festival's costume contest takes place at 4 p.m. at Perfect Plain Brewing.

Prepare to be transported to a world of knights, jesters and royal revelry as Perfect Plain Brewing holds its free Renaissance Festival on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

A medieval marketplace with more than a dozen artisans offers handcrafted wares, jewelry, artwork and medieval-themed goods until 5 p.m.

A costume contest takes place at 4 p.m. Dress in your finest Renaissance garb — flowing gowns, shining armor, feathered caps — for a chance to win prizes and claim bragging rights as the festival’s most enchanting or gallant character.

Local performers provide live music from 5 to 9 p.m., supplementing entertainment throughout the day, such as sword fighting, belly dancing and fire dancing.

No Renaissance feast would be complete without hearty fare fit for royalty. The options include jumbo turkey legs and house-made pickles, along with Perfect Plain Brewing’s craft beers.
